Prior to establishing Private Therapy, Gareth spent 13 years in the corporate side of advertising, advising blue chip clients how to successfully manage their brands.
During this time Gareth developed his interest in the psychology of communication and how it can be used to motivate and help people learn in a different way. This interest, coupled with his own personal experience of the power and success of hypnotherapy, led Gareth to the UK College of Hypnosis where he subsequently qualified as a clinical hypnotherapist.
He is now helping clients with a wide range of problems – from fear of flying to the achievement of optimal performance on the sports field.
Gareth was awarded the diploma in clinical hypnotherapy from the UK College of Hypnosis one of the leading hypnotherapy colleges in the UK.
Gareth specialised in Hypno-CBT®, a form of hypnotherapy considered to represent the future of evidence-based practice in the field of hypnotic psychotherapy. This approach integrates social, cognitive and behavioural psychology with the traditional field of hypnotism.
Modern research on hypnotherapy is increasingly focused upon the integration of hypnotherapy and CBT.
Gareth also practices Mental Performance Coaching – an area of sports hypnosis which incorporates the techniques used in sports psychology and sports hypnosis to help athletes maximise their performance.
